Dear Colleagues,
In the first meeting of the working group, which was created by the Decree No. 93-A of 14 February 2019, the Chairman of the RA State Revenue Committee for the discussion of the issues related to the transparency and accountability of NGOs and Foundations, an agreement has been reached that NGOs should submit to the SRC Recommendations for improving the existing regulations of the “RA Law on Non-Governmental Organizations”, which provides an additional opportunity to discuss the shortcomings and disputable provisions in the legislation regulating the activities of NGOs .
Please note that the format of the working group is a good example of cooperation between the state and civil society, where the agreements reached are being implemented.
Consequently, once again we appeal to civil society organizations to highlight and respond more actively to the call to submit proposals to improve the shortcomings and disputable regulations in the legislation governing the activities of NGOs. Please send them to the e-mail address [email protected] by 18 March. The proposals will be presented to the SRC and will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the working group.
