ALA Experts as Panelists at the JUREMONIA Project Closing Event

On 22 January 2026, the closing event of the EU-funded project “Monitoring Justice Sector Reforms in Armenia” (JUREMONIA) was held in Yerevan.

The event was attended by H.E. Vassilis Maragos, Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia, as well as high-level public officials, and representatives of civil society organisations and international organisations.

During the event, experts of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association participated as speakers in panel discussions.

Mariam Zadoyan delivered a report within the panel dedicated to criminal justice sector strategies, presenting the key findings of the Association’s monitoring of police reforms and highlighting the gap between procedural progress and real impact.

Marianna Avagyan delivered a report within the panel on crisis response, access to justice and human rights, presenting the programme results related to the strengthening of protection mechanisms for the rights of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh.
