On April 18, 2025, online focus group discussions were held, organized by the “Armenian Lawyers Association” (ALA) non-governmental organization as part of monitoring the 2022-2026 Judicial and Legal Reforms Strategy of the Republic of Armenia and its 2022-2024 implementation action plan.
The first discussion was attended by representatives of state bodies who had direct participation in the implementation of measures envisaged by the Strategy, while the second discussion included representatives of civil society organizations, as well as experts involved in the judicial and legal system reform processes.
During the discussion, participants addressed the progress in Strategy implementation, recorded achievements, and existing challenges. Participants presented their observations and constructive suggestions aimed at contributing to increasing the effectiveness of the implemented measures and continuous improvement of the reform process.
The results of the discussion will be summarized in a monitoring report prepared by the ALA, which will be provided to stakeholders and published for the public. The report will serve as a practical guide for identifying gaps in Strategy implementation, as well as ensuring transparency and effectiveness of the reforms.
The monitoring is being conducted using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, ensuring a comprehensive approach to assessing the progress of judicial and legal reforms.
