
On February 27, 2025, in Lernagog community, within the framework of the “Protection of Artsakh Armenians’ Rights” project, the Project’s lawyer provided free legal consultation to forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh and presented the armrights.am electronic platform.
The armrights.am digital platform has a crucial significance, ensuring accessibility, information centralization, transparency, and efficiency. It also contributes to data collection and awareness-raising. During the meeting, the website’s sections, their significance, as well as the process of submitting an application and following its progress were presented in detail. All this aims to help displaced persons effectively use this important resource.
During the meeting, issues related to the legal protection of forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh were discussed. Particularly:
- Issues regarding the payment of unpaid pensions as of September 2023,
- The procedure, implementation methods, and timeframes of the state housing support program for families forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh,
- Issues regarding the procedure for restoring military service records,
- Issues related to the restoration of birth certificates and marriage certificates,
- Legal issues related to inheritance acceptance.
Participants had the opportunity to receive individual consultation, where the lawyer provided detailed clarifications on each issue. In addition, practical steps for resolving the above-mentioned issues and the specifics of working with relevant state bodies were also presented.
The meeting was also attended by Julietta Arustamyan, Chairperson of the Governing Board of the Network of CSOs for the Protection of the Rights of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Artsakh, Executive Director of “Harmony” Shushi Women’s NGO.
