On December 24, the regular meeting of the governing board of the NGO Network for Protection of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Artsakh (hereinafter referred to as Network) was held on the Zoom platform, co-chaired by ALA President Karen Zadoyan and Network governing board chairperson Julietta Arustamyan.
The central topic of the meeting was the public policy document on systemic solutions for legal protection of forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh, developed by Project experts. The document presents a comprehensive analysis of the legal challenges facing Artsakh Armenians and proposes specific mechanisms for overcoming them.
The agenda also included discussion of the legal assistance results provided to Artsakh Armenians by the Network’s secretariat and the series of audiovisual materials published within the “Legal Issues of Artsakh Armenians in Armenia” series, which comprehensively cover the issues of protecting Artsakh Armenians’ rights.
Special attention was paid to the newly created armrights.am electronic platform, which will serve as a toolkit for protecting Artsakh Armenians’ rights. Participants explored the platform’s capabilities and discussed ways for its effective implementation.
At the end of the meeting, participants approved the public policy document and agreed on further steps for its implementation. It was emphasized that the document would serve as an important foundation for future cooperation with state bodies and the implementation of effective mechanisms for protecting Artsakh Armenians’ rights.
