Students of Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders Had a Virtual Visit to the Commission on Prevention of Corruption

The next online visit for students of the 10th special stream of Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders  was to the Commission on Prevention of Corruption. The school is implemented by the Armenian Lawyers Association within the “Armenia Integrity” program through the generous support of the American people via USAID, under the  “BlowtheWhistle, Armenia”   project and the nationwide whistleblowing awareness campaign implemented by the RA Ministry of Justice. The students were hosted by Mariam Galstyan, member and acting chairperson of the Corruption Prevention Commission.

The meeting began with welcome speeches by Mariam Zadoyan, senior expert at the Armenian Lawyers Association, followed by Mariam Galstyan. They welcomed the students’ participation in the meeting and encouraged young people to actively participate in the fight against corruption.

Mariam Galstyan presented in detail the Commission’s key role in preventing corruption. She especially emphasized integrity assessment mechanisms, transparent declaration process, and the need to increase accountability. Special attention was paid to the whistleblowing system and the Commission’s role in examining integrity reports.

At the end of the meeting, students directed their questions to the acting chairperson of the CPC, inquiring about the Commission’s educational initiatives for corruption prevention, current challenges, and the Commission’s successes in fighting corruption.
