First Stop of the Whistleblowing Campaign is Yerevan State University

The first stop of the new whistleblowing campaign program is Yerevan State University. Students from the Faculty of Journalism participated in the “Whistleblow, Armenia” training program, which was conducted by Syuzanna Soghomonyan, Senior Expert at the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, and Armen Parsadanyan, Senior Digital Affairs Expert.

The program will have direct engagement with 600 beneficiaries and indirect impact on 360,000 beneficiaries. The 600 direct beneficiaries include business organizations, local government representatives, students, pupils, teachers, CSO (Civil Society Organization) representatives, public servants, and experts.

The effectiveness of the courses is evaluated through special questionnaires. Participants responded to the same questionnaire both before and after the training.

After the presentation of the material, the students were divided into 2 groups and were given 2 hypothetical situations with the task of determining which types of whistleblowing would be applicable in each case.
