“Improvement of Legal Mechanisms for Judicial Statistics” study

Based on the Open Government Partnership Europe Grant Agreement and with the support of the European Union, the project “Multi-Faceted OGP Action: Open Justice & Anti-Corruption Commitments” (7. Registry of Gifts Related to Official Duties of Public Officials and Public Servants and 9. “eCourt-statistics” Statistical Analytical Tool) was implemented by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and the Armenian CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition.

Within the framework of the project, among other things, four focus group discussions (FGDs) were conducted with the participation of representatives from the public, and private sectors, and CSOs regarding the “eCourt-statistics Statistical Analysis Tool” commitment of the OGP Armenia 2022-2024 Action Plan, aiming to voice and collect sectoral issues and gaps. Combining the results of the FGDs with the analysis of international experience and standards, national legislation and practice, an expert analysis on “Improvement of Legal Mechanisms for Judicial Statistics” was developed.

The study aims to support the implementation of two actions under the 9th commitment of the “eCourt-statistics” statistical analysis tool – “Study of International Experience” (Action 1) and “Study of Legislative Framework for the Development and Unification of Different Systems for Statistics Collection” (Action 3).”
