On October 15, 2024, in Ararat community, within the framework of the “Strengthening the Protection Mechanisms for the Rights of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno-Karabakh” project, the Project lawyer provided free legal consultation to forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh and presented the armrights.am electronic platform.
The armrights.am digital platform is of key importance in ensuring accessibility, centralization of information, transparency, and efficiency. It also contributes to data collection and awareness-raising. During the meeting, the sections of the website, their significance, as well as the process of submitting an application and following its progress were presented in detail. All this aims to help displaced persons effectively use this important resource.
During the meeting, numerous issues concerning forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh were discussed. In particular, the issue of providing unpaid amounts of social assistance from previous months, problems of persons who have ended up on bank blacklists due to failure to fulfill credit obligations and possibilities for their resolution, procedures for restoring birth certificates and the process of confirming legal facts, mechanisms for implementing the state support program for housing provision for forcibly displaced families. The scope of persons entitled to free and preferential medical care and services guaranteed by the state, types and volumes of medical services provided to them, as well as procedures for organizing medical care and services were also discussed.
Julietta Arustamyan, the chairperson of the board of the CSO network for the protection of the rights of forcibly displaced persons from Artsakh and executive director of the “Harmony” Shushi Women’s NGO, also participated in the meeting.
