On 24 September, within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” Project, the project team held an online info-session, ahead of the sub-grant projects for CSOs/Mass Media. Representatives of CSOs and Mass Media who participated in and completed the training program aimed at developing the skills of CSOs and Mass Media participated in the meeting.
In the first part of the meeting, the expert of the budget component of the program, representative of the Center for Economic Development and Research Ms Lilit Hakobyan, addressed all the questions of participants related to the development of simplified sectoral budgets, as well as implementation of budget monitoring and analysis.
Further, the “B4C” Project Manager, ALA President Mr. Karen Zadoyan and ALA representative Ms Syuzanna Soghomonyan addressed the other questions of the participants.
The scope of questions included questions about the budgets, deadlines, duration and structure of the sub-grant projects, as well as the formation of consortia, involvement of experts and contributions.
The project team also addressed the issue of sub-grants that would be provided for advocacy campaigns, which would follow the sub-grants for budget monitoring and analysis.
The representatives of the CSOs/Mass Media were also interested in a number of questions related to the development, preparation and publication of media materials during the sub-grant programs. In response to their questions the project team stated that the media materials prepared by the participants will be placed both on the budgets.am platform for the exchange of budget knowledge, and will be distributed with the support of the team on social platforms.
At the end of the session, ALA representatives wished the participants success in the submitting the sub-grant projects and further effective and ongoing cooperation.
