The first stream of educational programs aimed at providing budgetary knowledge to young professionals and developing the skills of CSOs and Mass Media, launched within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” Project, is completed.
Within the framework of training programs, which lasted for about five months, young professionals and representatives of CSOs/Mass Media participated in the on-line phase, receiving basic budget knowledge through the electronic platform. Further, the participants with the best results were provided the opportunity to participate in a face-to-face (offline) training course, attending 12-day master classes, which were conducted by specialists and experienced experts in the sector.
The young professionals invested all the knowledge and skills that they gained during the educational process in conducting awareness seminars in their communities, introducing the budget process and participatory budgeting mechanisms to around 150 residents of Armenian communities.
The young professionals who completed all the phases of the training program and representatives of CSOs/Mass Media received graduation certificates.
The “Budgets 4 Citizens” (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 – 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, in cooperation with partners “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO and “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic).
