On July 10, the Governing Board of the CSOs Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia convened for a meeting. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, taking place both at the central office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and via the Zoom electronic platform.
The meeting’s agenda was comprehensive. The issues discussed included the scope of the coalition’s membership, its cooperation with state bodies, foreign and international organizations, and the results of monitoring the implementation of the Governing Board’s decisions and the conference.
The President of the “House of Justice” human rights NGO, which has applied for membership in the coalition, was also present at the meeting. They presented the activities and vision of the organization, expressing hope that its potential will stimulate the further activities of the coalition.
During the meeting, the results of the participation of the Coalition representatives in the 8th International Symposium of the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) and the 21st International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) held in Vilnius were discussed, along with the framework for implementing the agreements reached.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the issue of the CSOs Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia’s support for the campaign to adopt the UN Tax Agreement was discussed. This discussion was initiated at the suggestion of the president of the Armenian Constitutional Right-Protective Centre, a member of the Coalition.
As a result of the meeting, the necessary decisions were made concerning all the agenda items discussed.
