Implementation Process of the Action Plan 2023-2025 arising from the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection was discussed at the Meeting of the Coordinating Council

The regular session of the Coordinating Council for the implementation of the 2023-2025 Action Plan arising from the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Justice Karen Karapetyan. Ms Mariam Zadoyan, as a member of the Coordinating Council and a representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association participated in the session as well.

The implementation process of the first semester of 2024 was discussed during the session. The representatives of the Ministry of Justice and other state bodies commented on the details of the actions related to each department. Mariam Zadoyan presented recommendations aimed at the possible improvement of the execution of the Action Plan and monitoring activities.

The Deputy Minister informed that by the decision of the RA Government, a new chapter related to the protection of the rights of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh was added to the Action Plan arising from the HRD Strategy. This will enable the Government to continue systematically addressing the issues of the realization and protection of the rights of forcibly displaced persons.

The event was organized in the framework of the “Resilience for All” Project implemented with the support of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
