Today, the management staff of “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project met with Mr. Karen Brutyan, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the RA and Mr. Armen Sakapetoyan, the Deputy Chairman of the SRC.
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project Manager Karen Zadoyan introduced the project implemented with financial support of the EU, its main focus and the provided resources. He mentioned as a successful example the already established Anti-Corruption Coalition, the positive work implemented by the Coalition, its recognition by the Government, having a stable program and its development.
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project is aimed to raise the problems that exist in the sector, involve the independent experts, as well as strengthening the civil society organizations, forming the coalition and bringing the issues to the public policy making level.
Mr. Armen Sakapetoyan, the Deputy Chairman of the SRC welcoming the project and said that the structure is open and ready for any changes as well as to introducing innovations in the SRC that will lead to changes in the business sector.
“We have already established corresponding public institutions in the business sector. Each separately view the issues as beneficiaries, whereas within the coalition we view the state – private sector. We aim to create a coalition for the protection of business interest by this project,” Mr. Hakob Avagyan, the President of SME Cooperation Association
Stressing the importance of public involvement in the platform, Mr. Karen Brutyan, the First Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee said, “There is an impression that the business platform does not want the public or custom system changed. They prefer to give a bribe and pay less tax rather than not to give a bribe and to pay taxes. We are ready to respond to every such case.
