On 12 March, an awareness seminar on the educational program aimed at developing the budgetary abilities of young professionals implemented within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” Project was held for the students of faculties of Management and Finance of the Armenian State University of Economics.
Project assistant, representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association Ms Anahit Mardoyan, made an opening speech, welcoming the students for their interest and participation in the seminar. Then she presented to the attention of the students information on the work already implemented within the framework of the Project: the newly created the newly created budgets.am platform for the exchange of budget knowledge, as well as referred to the educational program aimed at developing the skills of ASUE students planned within the framework of the Project and noting the importance of the steps aimed at developing the abilities of and involving them in the budget process as future professionals of the field.
Ms Karine Harutyunyan, Executive Director of the “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO, presented the budget component of the training program to the participants. She also urged thestudents not to miss such an opportunity and participate in the training.
At the end of the workshop, students interested in budget education provided their data to apply for the training program.
