Last year 25 people found job as a result of the Job Fair, which took place in Armenia. Another fair was held on 2 December 2016.
The “US Alumni Association of Armenia” and “ARMACAD” jointly organized the regular job fair. Over 20 organizations, which offered hundreds of vacancies participated in the fair. The fair consists of two parts, the first part consisting of seminars was launched at 14: 00, and the second part was the fair.
Aleksander Shagafyan, the Executive director of the “US Alumni Association of Armenia” said that that the event is equally useful for both job seekers and employers. “The fair is different from year to year, and the largest had over 3000 visitors. We conducted enquiries among the employers who attended the job fair last year and revealed that over 250 people had found jobs as a result. ”
The fair has been organized for five years already. This is the sixth one which takes place in Yerevan. There were job fairs in the regions as well. “The organizations and as well as participants are greatly interested in it. This fair is a wide range of opportunities for both sides” Khachik Gevorgyan, the President of ARMACAD said.
He said that they always split the fair into two parts: seminars, which is intended for discussion of labor market issues and guidance of the jobseekers.
Anahit Sargsyan came here with three girlfriends. She said that last year she had found job tanks to the fair, and thus she recommended her girlfriends to attend the fair this year and get acquainted with available vacancies.
Arthur Karapetyan participates in the fair for the first time. He said he has already found an employment opportunity and provided his CV to the employer. He informed that he had been looking for job for three months already and coming here he found a job he is interested in. he hops it will be a success.
The American university of Armenia participated in the fair as well. Karine Sakanyan, representative of AAA said they present their Master’s Programs as well as vacancies and added that the fair is opportunity to fill the vacancies with young and qualified staff.
The box for CVs of “Ginosi Apartels” Company was completely filled just an hour after the fair started.
Notably, the Armenian Lawyer’s Association participated in the job fair as well and provided job announcements for more than two dozens of vacancies to the jobseekers.
