A meeting of representatives of the Government and the members of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA) chaired by the Deputy Prime-Minister Mher Grigoryan was held. Representative of the ALA Mr. Marat Atovmyan, member of the EU-Armenia Civil Society Platform attended the meeting as well.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the formation of a Civil Society Platform and welcomed the establishment of cooperation in this format. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan noted that the full implementation of the agreement is possible only with the involvement and active participation of broad sectors of the public, emphasizing the role and potential of the civil society as an expert community specialized in various fields covered by the Agreement. Ms Lusine Hakobyan, the Chairwoman of the EU-Armenia Civil Society platform of the EU-RA Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement, presented the progress of the work of the Platform and upcoming tasks. The participants of the meeting discussed the format of further cooperation and exchanged ideas in the directions of mutual interest.
