On 9 October, 2020, the Lori regional branch of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association organized the regular discussion on the first 5 of the 25 topics on the anti-corruption online training platform within the framework of the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project. Students of the Lori Region Anti-Corruption Club attended the training, (total of 3 participants).
Ms Zarine Hovhannisyan, Lawyer / Program Coordinator of the Vanadzor Office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, thanked the participants for their presence and said that the program participants would visit the office in small groups for security reasons.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the following topics related to basic anti-corruption training:
- Leadership,
- RA legal acts and the three branches of government, independent constitutional bodies,
- The concept, history typology of corruption,
- International anti-corruption initiatives, legal instruments and bodies,
- Jakarta statement on Principles for Anti-Corruption Agencies,
At the end of the discussion the participants asked their questions, which mainly referred to legal terminology, the activities of law enforcement bodies operating in the Republic of Armenia, the activities of international organizations.
The program is implemented in the framework of the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project supported by the Government of Sweden.
