Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian Lawyers; Association, Arman Babajanyan, Independent MP, and Tigran Egoryan, a lawyer, discussed the judicial vetting at the “First News” pavilion.
Karen Zadoyan noted that when the Prime Minister summed up his 100 days in office, he announced the need to apply transitional justice tools, after which the Armenian Lawyers’ Association conducted a study on the possible application of transitional justice tools in Armenia. “We have noted in the expert opinion that it is possible to carry out vetting in Armenia, including in the law enforcement bodies and in the courts. It is necessary to take into account 6 factors for the implementation of vetting.”
