The Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders announces the monitoring of the selection process of the members of the Anti -Corruption Commission by the RA National Assembly, including the monitoring of the formation and activities of the Competition Council to be formed for that purpose.
Please be informed that the Anti-Corruption school has already had meetings with the Chairman of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan and Edmon Marukyan, a member of the “Yelk” opposition faction.
Currently we are going to organize meetings with the representatives of other bodies, among them with Hrayr Tovmasyan, Vazgen Manukyan, Arman Tatoyan, Nikol Pashinyan and Aram Sargsyan.
We would like to inform that very little time is left for the formation of the Competition Council for the Corruption Prevention Commission. Nevertheless, the nominating authorities have not yet informed about their choice of candidate.
Expressing our concern about the formation of this body, we propose joint cooperation in the context of publicizing the issue under discussion.
Notably, the need of establishing a Corruption Prevention Committee was conditioned by the fact that the Ethics Committee failed to fulfill its mission.
