In the period from 2 to 4 October 2017, Miss Mariam Zadoyan, the Anti-Corruption Expert of Armenian Lawyers’ Association, participated in the Anti-Corruption Tailor-Made Training for representatives of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States at the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA), Laxenburg, Austria.
Participants from the Republic of Armenia included representatives from the Chamber of Control of the Republic of Armenia (Karen Arustamyan and Abram Bakhchagulyan), the Commission on Ethics of High-Ranking Officials of Armenia (Lilit Petrosyan) and the Central Bank of Armenia (Komitas Stepanyan).
Professors from IACA and other anti-corruption experts delivered lectures at the training. The topics included: international efforts to curb corruption, modern challenges and trends in combating corruption, public-private partnerships in the fight against corruption, whistleblower protection, public procurement, conflict of interest management and prevention and anti-money laundering. Participants also had a guided tour and a lecture at UNODC.
M. Zadoyan presented all the latest anti-corruption reforms initiated by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and CSOs’ Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia.
