Two Armenian Non-Governmental Organizations shall develop the NGO sector jointly. Today, the Presidents of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and the “NGO Center” signed an Agreement.
After signing the Agreement, Mr. Karen Zadoyan, the President of the ALA reminded that “NGO Center” stands at the core of the development public sector in our country. “From 20 years afar, I see that the birth of our organization is just connected with the “NGO Center”. And I am really happy today, “the NGO Center” we shall to develop the capacity of the public sector with the “NGO Center”,” Mr. Zadoyan said. According to Mr. Zadoyan, solution of the problems raised by the public should be the objective of the NGOs. “Since our organization is currently implementing a major project funded by the European Union, which is aimed at building CSOs capacity, building and development of coalitions, development of public policies, participation, realization of public monitoring as well as building constructive dialogue with the State and local government bodies; so it is important to join our efforts with the “NGO Center” to solve these problems,” ALA President said.
“This new agreement forms a new culture when two structures having the same mission cooperate,” Ms Arpine Hakobyan, President of “NGO Center” said. “We were in the field for more than 20 years, but it seems that we were going through this way independently. Today, we are combining efforts. we all benefit from this aspect. And the civil society benefits as well,” Ms hakobyan said.
