The second phase of the “Strengthening Electoral Integrity and Information Resilience in Armenia’s Regions” project implemented by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association NGO, has concluded in the Shirak Region.
On 12 May, Gyumri hosted the representatives of civil society organizations, journalists, and lawyers. The meeting was aimed at raising awareness on combating disinformation, electoral rights, electoral integrity, and media literacy.
The training sessions consist of three phases. The first phase was held in Yerevan, where the leaders of regional civil society organizations, as well as the representatives of media and legal sector, received training provided by the national and international experts.
The second phase was conducted in Gegharkunik, Ijevan, Shirak, and Lori the regions, where the trained leaders, in turn, provided training to journalists, lawyers, and CSO representatives.
At the final stage of the program, the trained participants will, in turn, conduct awareness-raising seminars in their communities, providing an opportunity to their community members to learn the best international practices, in particular, the experience of Moldova.
