Important awareness meetings were held in Gyumri and Vanadzor communities for persons forcibly displaced from Artsakh. The events were organized through joint efforts of the Armenian Lawyers Association (ALA) and Hub Artsakh at the “Loft” center.
In the first part of the meeting, the ALA representative presented in detail the “Armrights.am” electronic platform, which was created within the framework of the “Strengthening Protection Mechanisms for the Rights of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno-Karabakh” program. While explaining the website’s functions in detail, she emphasized the following key legal aspects: providing free legal consultation on displaced persons’ rights, collecting and analyzing detailed information about their legal status, and presenting accessible legal remedies. It was emphasized that the website enables displaced persons to present their legal issues online and receive legal support. Guiding participants through the online application process, the representative explained in detail the importance of completing each section of the legal application and its potential for further legal support.
In the next part of the meeting, the Hub Artsakh representative thoroughly addressed current labor market challenges, paying special attention to the employment specificities of displaced persons. Participants were provided with in-depth analytical information about modern skills and knowledge necessary for finding employment. In particular, the importance of digital skills, changing labor market trends, and strategies for being competitive on international work platforms were presented.
The question-and-answer session organized in the final part of the meeting turned into a platform for deep and meaningful dialogue, where participants had the opportunity to voice their questions. The experts took an individualized approach, considering each participant’s situation comprehensively and thoroughly.
Such awareness meetings are vital for displaced persons. They not only provide informational support but also contribute to psychological support, social integration, and the discovery of new opportunities for people in difficult situations.
