Awareness Meeting Held with ASUE Students Regarding Budget Educational Program

On November 20, an awareness seminar was held at the Armenian State University of Economics within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” project (hereinafter: Project). The event aimed to present new professional development opportunities in the budgetary sector to students from the Finance and Management faculties.

Armenian Lawyers’ Association representative and Project Assistant Anahit Mardoyan emphasized in her opening speech the importance of involving young specialists in budgetary processes. She presented in detail the initiatives already implemented within the Project and the budgets.am platform, which has become an effective tool for exchanging budgetary knowledge. The ALA representative also detailed the phases, opportunities, and first-stream successes of the educational program aimed at developing young specialists’ budgetary capabilities.

Economic Development and Research Center representative and Project expert Lilit Hakobyan addressed the budgetary component of the educational program in her speech. She particularly emphasized the unique opportunities the program offers to students interested in public finance.

Notably, ASUE graduate Elena Harutyunyan, one of the best-performing participants from the program’s first stream, gave a speech. She is currently involved as an employee in the “Education Expenditure / Quality of Critical Thinking” sub-grant program launched within the Program framework. Elena shared her experience, presenting how the Project enabled her to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and begin a professional career in the budgetary sector.

The seminar concluded with active discussions, during which students received comprehensive answers to their questions. Many students have already expressed their interest in participating in the program.

Students interested in the budgetary educational program can register here until November 30 of this year.
