A mandatory one-day training was organized within the framework of the “Budgets for Citizens” program, dedicated to the effective implementation of sub-grant programs aimed at conducting budget monitoring and analysis in target areas, as well as engaging young budget specialists in CSOs/Media on an employment basis.
The training was conducted by the project’s key experts: Syuzanna Soghomonyan, representative of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, and Armen Petrosyan, Financial Officer.
In the first part of the training, Syuzanna Soghomonyan presented in detail the content aspects of the programs, particularly addressing:
- Methodology for developing narrative and descriptive reports
- Specifics of the Logical Framework Approach
- Procedures for signing sub-grant agreements
- Basic principles of working collaboration with young specialists
Then, in the second part of the event, Armen Petrosyan thoroughly discussed the main aspects of financial management:
- Preparation of interim and final financial reports
- Proper classification and presentation of expenses
- Rules for maintaining financial documentation
- Peculiarities of accounting
The training concluded with interactive discussions, during which sub-grantees had the opportunity to receive comprehensive answers to their concerns. The experts meticulously addressed each question, ensuring the foundations for future effective implementation of the programs.
The “Budgets 4 Citizens” (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 – 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, in cooperation with partners “Economic Development and Research Center” (EDRC) NGO and “Agora Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic).
