Legal Assistance provided in the City of Charentsavan to Persons Forcibly Displaced from Artsakh

On 9 April, 2024, free legal assistance was provided to the persons forcibly displaced from Artsakh currently living in Kotayk Marz of the RA. The project lawyer provided free legal advice services in the city of Charentsavan in the framework of the “Strengthening of Rights Protection Mechanisms of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno Karabakh” Project.

During the meeting, Project Lawyer Miss Marianna Avagyan clarified a number of issues of concern to the people of Artsakh, which were mainly related to the receipt and/or reissuance of documents, the conditions for determining the age pension, the grounds for providing family benefits, the documents necessary to restore the birth certificate and the social support programs provided by the RA Government to forcibly displaced persons.

“Strengthening of Rights Protection Mechanisms of Forcibly Displaced Persons from Nagorno Karabakh” Project is implemented by the “Armenian Lawyers’ Association” NGO in cooperation with partner “Harmony” Shushi Women NGO in the framework of the “Justice Reforms Monitoring in Armenia” ( www.juremonia.am ) program implemented with the financial support of the European Union. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the integration of FDPs from NK into their new communities of residence in Armenia, enhancing access to justice and raising the level of legal awareness by strengthening their rights protection mechanisms,
