Focus Group Discussion on the Commitment “eCourt-statistics statistical analytical tool” with the Participation of Representatives of State and Private Institutions, and CSOs

On 24 January, the 1st focus group discussion on the commitment “eCourt-statistics statistical analytical tool” of the 2022-2024 OGP-Armenia National Action Plan was held.

Representatives of the Corruption Prevention Commission, the RA Ministry of Justice, the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, the RA Court of Cassation, the RA Investigative Committee, the RA Statistical Committee, the RA Judicial Department, the RA Academy of Justice, the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry, the RA Human Rights Defender’s Office, the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, the RA Chamber of Advocates, as well as a number of civil society organizations participated in the discussion.

The objective of the discussion was to get acquainted with the work carried out within the framework of the “eCourt-statistics” statistical analytical tool” commitment and to raise the outlined problems.

Ms Rubina Mkhitaryan, Coordinator of Separate Functions in Structural Units of the Ministry of Justice, presented the work carried out by the ministry within the framework of the commitment, the analyzes made on international experience and standards, as well as the foreseeing the study of the domestic aspect.

Further, the participants held a discussion, during which a number of questions were raised regarding the development of the tool and the date of its launch, adding statistical classifiers to the system, public access and limitations of the system, transferring data automatically.

The focus group discussion was conducted by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association in partnership with the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, within the framework of the European Union-funded “Multi-Faceted OGP Action: Open Justice & Anti-Corruption Commitments” Program, which is aimed at providing assistance to the Government in the implementation of two commitments under the OGP-Armenia National Action Plan 2022-2024: Establishment of E-Justice and Register of Gifts.
