Today, in the morning, we were deeply saddened to learn about the death of Levon Konstantin Nersisyan, director of the “The A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Center” NGO, our dear colleague and senior friend. We are informed by the statement issued by the staff of the “The A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Center” NGO, on 29 July of this year.
Levon Nersisyan enjoyed the love and respect of the Organization’s staff and beneficiaries with his humanity and qualities. He always stood out for his diligence, honesty, conscientiousness and demanding character. As the head of the organization, he solved the problems before him with great responsibility and demanded the same from every employee. Levon Nersisyan was a person with great inner strength and was able to overcome all difficulties and challenges.
The entire staff of the organization expresses its condolences and support to the Nersisyan family, relatives and friends regarding this heavy loss. We wish patience and endurance to all of us and perseverance to continue the unfinished work he left behind in the same spirit.
The memory of Levon Nersisyan will always remain bright in all of our hearts…
May God keep his soul in light and peace.

Since 1993, Levon Nersisyan was the director of the “The A.D. Sakharov Armenian Human Rights Protection Center” NGO. Under his direct leadership and initiative, the organization has implemented many programs in the direction of protecting human rights in the Republic of Armenia, increasing legal awareness of citizens and providing support to socially vulnerable groups.
The leadership and members of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association express their condolences to the family members and relatives of Levon Nersisyan.
