On 8 October, 2020, the Lori regional branch of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association organized the regular discussion on 4 of the 25 topics on the anti-corruption online training platform within the framework of the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project. Students of the Lori Region Anti-Corruption Club attended the training, (total of 6 participants).
Ms Zarine Hovhannisyan, Lawyer / Program Coordinator of the Vanadzor Office of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association, introduced the selected topics to the participants. Two of the students participating in the program completed their topic questionnaires on the spot.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the following topics related to basic anti-corruption training:
- International anti-corruption initiatives, legal instruments and bodies,
- Kuala Lumpur Statement on Anti-corruption Strategies,
- Jakarta statement on Principles for Anti-Corruption Agencies,
- Regional anti-corruption initiatives, legal documents and bodies.
At the end of the discussion, the participants asked questions and discussed technical and contextual issues related to the essay and painting competition.
The program is implemented in the framework of the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project supported by the Government of Sweden.
