On 14 July, the Governing Council of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia (hereinafter referred to as the Coalition) held an online meeting. Arpine Hakobyan, the Chairwoman of the Governing Council chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, Mr. Karen Zadoyan, Coordinator of the Secretariat of the Coalition, members of the Governing Council Mr. Arkady Sahakyan and Mr. Movses Arstakesyan presented the report on activities of the Coalition Secretariat’s in the previous months> Further, Karen Zadoyan presented the “Youth4Anti-Corruption” project supported by the Government of Sweden which is implemented by the Secretariat of the Coalition.
Ms Suzanna Soghomonyan, Anti-Corruption Expert of the Coalition, said that the Secretariat of Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenian CSOs is currently working on the preparation of an alternative report on the implementation of Chapters 2 and 5 of the UN Convention against Corruption in Armenia.
During the meeting, several members of the Governing Council made proposals, based on which a list of actions to be taken by the Coalition in the near future was drafted.
The participants of the meeting discussed the issues of increasing the frequency of online work by the Coalition Governing Board and the organization of the Governing Council meetings.
Representatives of 7 member NGOs: Arpine Hakobyan, Arkady Sahakyan, Movses Aristakesyan, Gevorg Gevrgyan, Mariam Chakhoyan and Karen Zadoyan took part in the sitting of the Governing Council of the Coalition.
