Meeting with the Representatives of CSOs and European Union to discuss the Process of developing the CSO Platform

On 23 January, 2020, A meeting with the European Economic and Social Committee and Armenian CSOs took place in the Delegation of the European Union to Armenia. The objective of the meeting was to discuss the activities of the CSO Platform to be developed under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), including the structure and composition of the platform.

Ms Syuzanna Soghomonyan, ALA Programs Coordinator/Lawyer attended the meeting on behalf of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association. She introduced the Constructive Dialogue Network and  emphasized that the CSO platform should be created by the sovereign decision of the Armenian CSO field, ensuring the wide involvement of the CSO field and the involvement of all stakeholders. She also on CSO partners to reach a consensus and build a platform based on solidarity with the aim of conducting effective monitoring of the implementation of the CEPA.

European partners urged CSOs to embark on this process as soon as possible and try to form a platform by the end of the first half of this year.
