During the next lesson of the Anti-Corruption School of Young Leaders, the participants discussed the parliamentary activities, problems and challenges in Armenia.
Mr. Arman Babajanyan, an independent deputy of the 7th convocation National Assembly conducted the lesson.
According to the MP, their case is extremely important and especially the role of the opposition.
Arman Babajanyan noted that the opposition is as responsible for the failures as the parliamentary majority.
The MP also touched upon the new order of formation of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
It is noteworthy that on 13 September, the second reading adopted the draft presented by the NA Speaker Ararat Mirzoyan, by which agreement was reached between the political forces on the procedure of electing the members of the Corruption Prevention Commission, Public Services Regulatory Commission and other independent bodies. 104 deputies voted in favor of the draft, with one deputy voting against.
As a result of the agreement reached with the ruling political force, the opposition factions of the National Assembly were given the opportunity to have their place in the Corruption Prevention Commission.
Only Arman Babajanyan voted against the draft, the MP argued in his speech on the previous day that it was a shame.
