During the next lesson at the Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders, the participants discussed the introduction of the Beneficial Owners Institute in Armenia.
Ms Mariam Zadoyan, an expert from the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia facilitated the lesson.
Now the Institute of Real Owners is provided in the RA Law on Public Procurement.
With the introduction of the Beneficial Owners Institute, the names of the shareholders with significant stake in the company will become known.
The first single registry of beneficial owners has been launched in the UK. International practice is evolving in the direction to make information about Beneficial Owners public and accessible to all.
It is envisaged that the register of legal entities in Armenia will collect information on legal entities.
Participants completed a questionnaire before and after class to test their knowledge.
