On 26 June, on the initiative of the “Centre for Community Mobilization and Support’’ NGO, the Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection Network was established within the framework of the “Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection’’ sub-grant project implemented in the scope of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project.
The co-founding members of the Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection Network are non-governmental organizations operating in the social sphere, as well as local self-governing bodies.
The objective of the Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection Network is to contribute to the identification and resolution of social problems of children and families in difficult life situations in Armenia, as well as the wide involvement of different stakeholders in the social sector, in the identification and resolution of problems.
In the second part of the meeting the proposed reforms that emerge in the process of individual cases of social support as well as the actions implemented within the framework of the “Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection’’ Project and the successes recorded were discussed. A press conference was also held.
“I believe, the creation of the new coalition is a very important institutional mechanism that will ensure the continuity and stability of the project. The first issue that is the study, monitoring, review of social cases, and the presentation of proposals on this issue are a very important process for the relevant state body because it is only through constructive dialogue that it is possible to solve possible problems,” said EBRD Project Manager,” Mr. Karen Zadoyan, President of the Armenian lawyers Association, “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project manager said.
The social work, the main component of social assistance in the case-management process, was discussed.
“There were discussions at community level, at the provincial level, recommendations have been collected, and we will look at these proposals, and collect the final suggestions to present a package of reform reports and suggestions to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs,” Mr. Oleg Dulgaryan “Multi-Stakeholder Social Protection’’ Project Manager said.
Representatives from the Ministries of Labor and Social Affairs, Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, as well as NGO representatives, and representatives of media were present at the meeting.
