The International Civil Society Week was held in Belgrade, capital of Serbia from 8 to 12 April, 2019. Over one thousand leaders and representatives from civil society around the world attended the summit.
Syuzanna Soghomonyan, board member of the Armenian Lawyers, Association, Coordinator of the Government-Civil Society Dialogue in the scope of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project funded by the European Union, participated in the summit.
During a week’s work, in collaboration with CSO sector leaders, S. Soghomonyan discussed the main challenges in the region and in the world in general, which the CSO representatives are facing periodically.
S. Soghomonyan presented to international partners the anti-corruption reforms in Armenia as well, including those initiated by the Armenian Lawyers’ Association and the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, presenting the role of CSOs in that process and their work.
Partner CSOs were also greatly interested in the success stories and activities aimed at ensuring sustainability of CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition.
Ms. Soghomonyan also presented the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project and activities implemented in its scope, which are aimed at the development of capacities and professional skills of the CSO Coalitions and civil society organisations that re members of CSO incubator.
The summit is organized by CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation and partner organisations.
