On March 16, the European Union’s “Young European Ambassadors” (YEAs) initiated and organised an event within the scope of the International Women’s Day in Dilijan. Active women and girls from Dilijan attended the event. During the meeting the participants and the Young European Ambassadors discussed topics such as protection of women’s rights, education level and activity in their communities. Ms Mariam Zadoyan, Young European Ambassador from Armenian Lawyers’ Association (ALA) presented the policy pursued by the state in the field of equal rights and equal opportunities for men and women referring to the relevant strategic project and its shortcomings. She also presented ALA’s activities carried out in the field of the protection of women’s rights.
