On 14 December 2018, the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia has published on the Unified Website for publication of Legal Acts’ Drafts (e-draft.am) the Draft laws “On Making Amendments and Addenda to the RA Administrative Procedure Code”, “On Making Addenda to the Law” on Non-Governmental Organizations” and other related laws, by which among others, it is proposed to expand the range of the persons entitled to dispute the legality of normative legal acts providing such an opportunity to the non-governmental organization, which is derived from the actio popularis principle. The Armenian Lawyers’ Association has prepared an analysis of the above-mentioned drafts, in particular on granting competence to the NGOs to apply to courts for the protection of rights and legitimate interests of their beneficiaries and presented the opinion-recommendations (in Armenian language).
