From July 16 to 18, 2018, Ms Mariam Zadoyan, the Anti-Corruption Expert of the Armenian Lawyers’ Association – Secretariat of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia participated in the 5th OGP 2018 Global Summit in Tbilisi as well as attended the event “Civil Society Day”, which was organized in the scope of the Summit. The RA Delegation participating in the event included the RA Minister of Justice Mr. Artak Zeynalyan, RA Deputy Minister of Justice Mr. Suren Krmoyan and other representatives from the Ministry of Justice, Head of the Armenian Secretariat of Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative Ms Lilia Shushanyan and other representatives from public and private sectors and international structures.
It was dedicated to ensuring civil engagement in decision-making, fighting corruption, and delivery of more effective public services. The summit also serves as a platform for getting acquainted with success of other participants.
Mariam Zadoyan is an EU funded EaP Civil Society Fellow and realizes a program on the introduction of the Register of Beneficial Owners in Armenia, presented the legislative regulations and challenges of the Armenian legislation during thematic discussions on the real property institute and got acquainted with the best international practices.
