Relay Event for the EU-funded Eastern Partnership Civil Society Fellowship Initiative took place in Brussels, Belgium on 2-3 July, 2018. During the event, the participants established business contacts and developed their capacities through sharing experience and lectures.
20 best programs presented by young civil society activists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine are selected at each stage within the framework of this tool, and their authors are provided with scholarships for their contribution to the development of civil society in their countries. 71 applications were submitted within the framework of the second round and 3 scholarships were provided to the representatives of Armenia, among them to Ms Mariam Zadoyan, the Vice President of Armenian Young Lawyers’ Association, an anti-corruption expert at Armenian CSO’s Anti-Corruption Coalition and Armenian Lawyers’ Association – Secretariat of the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia.
The latter’s program is aimed at combating corruption, in particular, the introduction of the Register of Beneficial Owners in Armenia aimed at overcoming business and political cohesion. Within the framework of the program, among other activities, educational visits will be conducted to study the best international practices, as well as seminars for their ontroduction in Armenia, information sessions and seminar in public-private partnership format, as a result of which an appropriate anti-corruption policy will be presented to the Government of Armenia.
