Today, the 3rd phase of educational certification program for civil society organizations (CSO) capacity building was launched. The educational program for is organized in the framework of the EU funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project and is carried out at the American university of Armenia.
14 CSO representatives from Yerevan city and 5 marzes of the RA participate in this phase of the training.
The program is aimed at developing sustainable and effective skills among the participants to initiate a dialogue with government and local self-government bodies.
Mt. Hakob Avagyan, Executive Director of SME Cooperation Association NGI, which is member of the consortium of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project presented the upcoming 5-day training course to the participants. He also noted that the training in addition to acquiring skills and capacity for initiating beneficial cooperation with the government or local government, would also promote joint implementation of different programs. “We already have participants in the previous two groups who are planning to develop a program during the courses and apply to territorial self-government bodies,” he said.
Upon completion of the training course, CSO representatives will be awarded diplomas of AUA.
The new educational program is implemented within the framework of the EU-funded “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project, which aims at making the voice of civil society heard at public discussions in Armenia. The objective is to develop sustainable and effective skills among the civil society in Armenia, to start a dialogue with government and local self-government bodies.
