“Yerevan is a beautiful European city,” the Head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Piotr Switalski said at the Europe Day celebration today. “We celebrate the values that are in the basis of the European Union – peace, justice, solidarity, unity. These are shared values are the values that unite us Europeans and Armenians,” Mr. Svitalski said and expressed confidence that the Armenians are an important and integral part of the extended European family. “Europe is much larger than just the European Union. We would like to celebrate this day, cheerfully and looking at the bright future,” EU Delegation Ambassador said.
Senior officials of the RA, diplomats, as well as Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan attended the event.
There were more than 40 pavilions at the Info Fair, among them the pavilion of the Armenian Lawyers Association.
The Armenian Lawyers Association presented the “Multi-Faceted Anti-Corruption Promotion” project implemented in cooperation with its partner organization and the current “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.
The ALA lawyers provide legal advice to the citizens and also introduced the project. ALA President Mr. Karen Zadoyan the Project manager of the above mentioned two major project was providing legal consultancy as well.
In addition, the citizens had the opportunity to raise and submit the problems that exist in the sphere, which might be useful for the representatives of “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project.
Mr. Marat Atovmyan, Mentors’ Group Coordinator/Justice and related Sectors Mentor of the project delivered an anti-corruption lecture for the participants.
