Dear representatives of civil society organizations,
Currently mapping of the CSO Sector in Armenia is underway in the scope of preparatory activities of the “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” project. To carry out this research, in particular, a special questionnaire was designed for CSOs. You can download it here. Please fill in the questionnaire and send it back to the e-mail address [email protected] by 31st March, 2017. Please indicate “CSO Mapping” in the subject line of your e-mail.
Please note that the selected CSOs will later have an opportunity to participate in a professional training conducted at a university. The modules of the training will be, as follows: public oversight/monitoring; evidence-based policy analysis development; CSO-Government dialogue; coalition building and development. CSOs, which will have successfully completed the trainings, will have an opportunity to apply for the project sub-grant scheme (25 for CSOs and 9 for coalitions).
The “Commitment to Constructive Dialogue” Project has been launched on 15 December, 2016 by a consortium of the following organizations: Armenian Lawyers’ Association, “AGORA Central Europe” NGO (Czech Republic), Armenian Center for Democratic Education (CIVITAS), International Center for Human Development, SME Cooperation Association, and Communities Association of Armenia. The Armenian Lawyers’ Association is the leading partner of the consortium.
The overall objective of the Action is to enhance the influence of CSOs and CSO coalitions on public policy development in 9 priority sectors. The specific objectives are to strengthen the ability of CSOs to build coalitions and participate in public policy making, identification of problems in the target sectors and development of respective policies, as well as the constructive and strategic engagement of the civil society in the processes of policy development with local and central government partners.
The target groups of the project are the Armenian civil society at large and the respective civil society stakeholders in the justice, education, business sectors and other sectors that are being identified in the inception period.
