On January 14, 2026, an event was held to present the results of the sub-grant project \u201cBudget Analysis of State-Supported Agricultural Programs\u201d, implemented by the Young Journalists\u2019 Association (YJA) NGO within the framework of the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project, financially supported by the European Union.<\/p>\n
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, civil society organizations (CSOs), and Local Active Groups (LAGs).<\/p>\n
The event was opened by Arman Ghazaryan, President of the YJA NGO and Project Manager of the sub-grant project, who presented the work carried out. Subsequently, Syuzanna Soghomonyan, representative of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association NGO and \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project expert, welcomed the participants and presented the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project, highlighting its main objectives and rationale. She emphasized the project\u2019s role in building the capacities of civil society organizations, particularly in analyzing the state budget, presenting it in an accessible way, and ensuring public oversight. Syuzanna Soghomonyan also highlighted the importance of promoting civic participation in budgetary processes as a necessary condition for enhancing the effectiveness of public policies.<\/p>\n
Yura Martirosyan, a young specialist of the project, presented the analysis of state-supported agricultural programs for 2023\u20132025 and the simplified budget for 2026, while Arman Ghazaryan presented a comparative analysis of state-supported programs and projects implemented using the EU \u201cLEADER\u201d methodology.<\/p>\n
The second part of the event included a discussion, questions, and answers.<\/p>\n
