On 15 October 2025<\/strong>, the \u201cOnline Workshop on Countering Disinformation: Public\u2013Private Dialogue Format\u201d<\/strong> was held. The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania<\/strong> and within the framework of the program \u201cArmenia\u2019s Disinformation Resilience Academy: Strengthening Strategic Defense Capacities through the Transfer of Lithuania\u2019s Experience\u201d<\/strong>, implemented by the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association (ALA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Opening Remarks<\/strong>
The workshop opened with a speech by Marat Atovmyan<\/strong>, Vice President of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, who emphasized the global nature of disinformation and its consequences in Armenia, highlighting the need for knowledge, skills, and cooperation.<\/p>\n

Presentation of the Practical Handbook on Countering Disinformation<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the first part of the workshop, program experts Syuzanna Soghomonyan<\/strong> and Mariam Zadoyan<\/strong> presented the newly developed \u201cPractical Handbook on Countering Disinformation\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, intended for representatives of government authorities, civil society organizations, media, and the private sector.<\/p>\n

The Handbook includes over 20 digital tools for detecting, verifying, and preventing disinformation, from source verification and bot detection to image verification and fact-checking. It also contains a glossary of more than 30 terms in Armenian and English<\/strong>, and a dedicated section on Lithuania\u2019s experience in countering disinformation.<\/p>\n

Developing a Roadmap with a Whole-of-Society Approach<\/strong><\/p>\n

The second part of the workshop focused on jointly defining the priorities of a Roadmap for Intersectoral Cooperation in Countering Disinformation<\/strong>, within the Whole-of-Society approach<\/strong> framework. Discussions covered Armenia\u2019s disinformation strategy, ongoing activities, and existing challenges.<\/p>\n
