Having the aim to monitor and analyze the budget in targeted directions, representatives of sub-grant projects and young specialists involved in sub-grant projects presented their project results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">At the beginning of the meeting, President of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, Project Manager of the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project Mr. Karen Zadoyan, welcomed the participants. He highly appreciated the efforts of the sub-grantees in their work aimed at increasing the level of participatory budgeting and noted its importance in the development of civil society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Representatives of sub-grant programs discussed in detail the main objectives, progress and achievements of their projects. They also discussed the challenges encountered during the implementation of the projects and ways to overcome them, sharing valuable experience and practical examples. Each presentation demonstrated how monitoring and analysis of the budget in targeted areas can contribute to improving the public policy. The project results, including reports and analyses, will also be presented to the competent authorities for discussion and consideration in order to implement sectoral improvements.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">It was noteworthy that as a result of the projects, in addition to identifying existing key problems in the budgetary process, the participants actively participated in public discussions of budget applications for 2025 of the target sectors of their projects as well. The project representatives have prepared and submitted their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/budgets.am\/en\/5160.html\">recommendations<\/a>\u00a0on budget applications to the relevant bodies in written form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">A discussion, during which the participants shared their experiences and achievements, followed the presentations. All participants unanimously emphasized the importance of the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project in raising the level of participatory budgeting and spoke about the issues identified as a result of budget monitoring, which will form the basis for advocacy campaigns in the future.<\/p>\n<div class=\"font-claude-message relative leading-[1.65rem] [&amp;_pre&gt;div]:bg-bg-000\/50 [&amp;_pre&gt;div]:border-0.5 [&amp;_pre&gt;div]:border-border-400 [&amp;_.ignore-pre-bg&gt;div]:bg-transparent [&amp;&gt;div&gt;div&gt;:is(p,blockquote,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6)]:pl-2 [&amp;&gt;div&gt;div&gt;:is(p,blockquote,ul,ol,h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6)]:pr-8\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"grid-cols-1 grid gap-2.5 [&amp;_&gt;_*]:min-w-0\">\n<p class=\"whitespace-normal break-words\">Within the framework of the event, a special session was planned for the purpose of discussing strategic planning and awareness directions for advocacy campaigns. During the session, Suzanna Solomonyan provided a comprehensive and detailed overview of the advocacy activities and awareness directions expected within the program framework, while simultaneously offering professional consultation and guiding support to potential grantee organizations in this crucial area. She also thoroughly discussed and analyzed some key and targeted advocacy work already implemented by civil society organizations, including detailed attention to those fundamental and multi-layered issues that can become the focus of advocacy activities within the framework of each potential grant program.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"absolute bottom-0 right-2 pointer-events-none\">\n<div class=\"rounded-lg transition min-w-max pointer-events-auto translate-x-2 translate-y-full pt-2\">\n<div class=\"text-text-300 flex items-stretch justify-between\"><span style=\"text-align: justify\">It should be noted that within the framework of the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project, sub-grants to implement budget monitoring and analysis in targeted directions were provided to the following projects:<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>\u201cEducation Expenses\/Quality of Critical Thinking\u201d \u2013 project implemented by the \u201cMedia for Education\u201d NGO,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cUniversal Inclusion: Effectiveness and Accountability of State Investments\u201d \u2013\u00a0 project implemented by the \u201cLusastgh\u201d NGO,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cBudget 360\u00b0\u201d \u2013 project implemented by the \u201cDirect Democracy\u201d NGO,<\/li>\n<li>\u201cJustice Sector Budget Monitoring and Analysis\u201d \u2013 project implemented by the \u201cCenter of Economic Right\u201d NGO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>The \u201cBudgets 4 Citizens\u201d (B4C) action (8 December, 2022 \u2013 7 December, 2026) is being implemented with the financial support of the European Union by the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, in cooperation with partners \u201cEconomic Development and Research Center\u201d (EDRC) NGO and \u201cAgora Central Europe\u201d NGO (Czech Republic).<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A final meeting with representatives of sub-grant projects within the framework of the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project was held on 6 May, 2025.
