On 25 March, 2025, master classes aimed at the development of practical skills in budget analysis were held. Mr. Hovhannes Avetisyan, the Guest Seasoned Expert of the Budget Training Programme conducted the courses.<\/p>\n
The master classes were held in the framework of the second stream of training programmes for young specialists and developing the budgetary capacities of CSOs\/Media organizations launched within the framework of the \u201cBudgets for Citizens\u201d project.<\/p>\n
The main objective of the training was to develop practical skills in budget analysis of young specialists and CSO\/Media representatives based on the theoretical knowledge they had already acquired.<\/p>\n
At the beginning of training the participants completed an initial knowledge test developed by the expert. This was followed by a discussion between the participants and the expert on issues related to expenditures, revenues, government budget deficit, government debt and programme budgeting.<\/p>\n
In the practical part, the participants, with the assistance of the expert, performed analytical exercises, calculated and drew figures of public debt, GDP, and taxes.<\/p>\n
At the end of the training, participants completed the post evaluation test to assess the growth of their knowledge. The training was conducted in a hybrid format, which allowed young specialists and representatives of CSOs and Media organizations from Yerevan, as well as the remote regions, to fully participate in the discussions and group work.<\/p>\n
