Pasha Arstamyan was forcibly displaced on September 19, 2023, as a result of Azerbaijan’s unleashed aggression.<\/span><\/p>\n

They barely escaped: “We were almost massacred. They pulled out an automatic weapon, but someone pushed it away with their hand and said ‘don’t,'” he told <\/span>Iravaban.net<\/i><\/b><\/a> within the series “<\/span>Legal Issues of Artsakh Armenians in Armenia<\/span><\/i>.”<\/span><\/p>\n

They left Martakert on September 19, stayed in Stepanakert for a few days, after which they came to Tsaghkadzor community. They came by buses, were checked at the illegal checkpoint installed near the Hakari bridge and then let through.<\/span><\/p>\n

He and his wife live in a rented apartment. His wife has health issues. He says they have received state support without any problems. He only didn’t receive his pension for September 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n

The “Strengthening Protection Mechanisms for the Rights of Forcibly Displaced People from Nagorno-Karabakh” project is implemented by the Armenian Lawyers Association in cooperation with the “Harmonia” Shushi Women’s NGO within the framework of the “Monitoring Justice Sector Reforms in Armenia” project (<\/span>www.juremonia.am<\/span><\/a>) funded by the European Union.
