The advanced training stage of the\u00a0Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders\u00a0started on 21 October.\u00a0During the 5 days, 22 young people from Shirak, Lori, Armavir, Syunik, Gegharkunik regions and Yerevan will increase their skills and knowledge in the anti-corruption field.<\/p>\n
Before the training started, the participants observed a minute of silence in memory of the servicemen who died in Artsakh on 27 September.<\/p>\n
In his opening remarks, Karen Zadoyan, Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association and Founder of the\u00a0Anti-Corruption School for Young Leaders, highlighted the importance of participating in the anti-corruption education sector especially in these days of war and gaining knowledge to contribute to the future in the homeland.<\/p>\n
He spoke about the initial stage of the program, noting that 22 out of about 120 students were selected for the advanced training.\u00a0“We started the \u201cYouth4Anti-Corruption\u201d project, which is implemented with the support of the Swedish government, months ago.\u00a0For the first time, an e-learning platform has been created, which you have all successfully completed.\u00a0You have been selected for your merits and knowledge to undergo the advanced training.\u00a0We hope that the anti-corruption knowledge and skills that we, our experts, team members, through the joint efforts of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia, will pass to you, will try to build a strong backbone of your anti-corruption values, so that you can be guided by those values in your personal career in the future,\u201d\u00a0Karen Zadoyan said.<\/p>\n
The founder of the school also spoke about the connections between corruption and war, the consequences caused by corruption and irreversible losses.<\/p>\n
During the advanced stage, the experts of the Armenian Lawyers\u2019 Association, the CSO Anti-Corruption Coalition of Armenia will share their knowledge.<\/p>\n
The students of the Anti-Corruption School will study topics such as:\u00a0Anti-corruption education and public participation, anti-corruption institutional system, fight against corruption in local self-government bodies, analysis of declaration of property, income, interests and expenses of public servants, return of assets according to criminal and civil procedures.<\/p>\n
Through practical work and group assignments, young people will get to know each other better, gain practical knowledge, and unite around anti-corruption values\u00a0and ideas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
