{"id":6313,"date":"2020-09-01T13:49:45","date_gmt":"2020-09-01T09:49:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/armla.am\/en\/?p=6313"},"modified":"2020-09-07T16:14:31","modified_gmt":"2020-09-07T12:14:31","slug":"study-of-domestic-legislation-and-international-best-practices-on-independent-anti-corruption-bodies-and-recommendations-on-establishing-an-independent-anti-corruption-constitutional-body-in-the-repub","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/armla.am\/en\/6313.html","title":{"rendered":"Study of Domestic Legislation and International Best Practices on Independent Anti-Corruption Bodies and Recommendations on establishing an Independent Anti-Corruption Constitutional Body in the Republic of Armenia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\">By the decision N 1441-L of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 10 October, 2019, the Judicial and Legal Reform Strategy 2019-2023 of the Republic of Armenia was approved.\u00a0&#8220;Conducting Constitutional Reforms&#8221; was among the strategic goals of the latter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In fulfillment of the first direction of the above-mentioned strategic goal, a &#8220;Professional Committee on Constitutional Reforms&#8221; was formed by decision N 181-A of 12 February, 2020 of the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.\u00a0The decision stipulates that the concept of constitutional reforms will be worked out within three months after the start of the Committee\u2019s activity, its public discussion will be carried out, and the document will be submitted to the RA Prime Minister&#8217;s Office.\u00a0One of the spheres of the Committee\u2019s activity refers to the issue of constitutionality of independent and autonomous bodies operating in the Republic of Armenia, including the anti-corruption body in question.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/armla.am\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/%D5%88%D6%82%D5%BD%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%B4%D5%B6%D5%A1%D5%BD%D5%AB%D6%80%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%A9%D5%B5%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%B6_%D5%8D%D5%A1%D5%B0%D5%B4%D5%A1%D5%B6%D5%A1%D5%A4%D6%80%D5%A1%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%B6-%D5%B0%D5%A1%D5%AF%D5%A1%D5%AF%D5%B8%D5%BC%D5%B8%D6%82%D5%BA%D6%81%D5%AB%D5%B8%D5%B6-%D5%B4%D5%A1%D6%80%D5%B4%D5%AB%D5%B6%D5%B6%D5%A5%D6%80.pdf\"><strong>study<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0was conducted within in the scope of &#8220;Advocacy for the Constitutional Guarantees of the Anti-Corruption Institutional System&#8221; project implemented in the framework of the \u201cEnhancing CSF Armenian National Platform Contribution to the EU-Armenia Cooperation\u201d Project funded within the framework of the Support to activities of the five working groups of the CSF ANP, which refers to the classification of models of anti-corruption bodies, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, referring to the international advanced practice.
